I’m a multidisciplinary artist and strategist working across sound, rights, and storytelling. As a recording artist, I’ve released music with globally respected labels. As a rights and operations manager, I’ve helped shape and structure content systems and processes across Europe and Internationally.

Through my consultancy lens imprint Amity, I collaborate with artists, rights-holders, and cultural brands to launch purposeful work, crafted, protected, and future-facing.

I began as a session artist and producer in the UK’s indie scene before evolving into an internationally recognised voice in Nu Disco, electronic, and progressive music. Under the artist name David Harks, I’ve released with Leng, Kitsuné, Eskimo, Boogie Angst, and Paper Recordings, and contributed vocals and songwriting to artists like Satin Jackets, Rasmus Faber, and The Amorphous Androgynous.

My works have been remixed by pioneers like Ron Trent, Larry Heard, and Max Essa, and featured in campaigns, broadcasts, and editorial platforms including Vice, Clash, and Neon Gold. A career highlight remains co-writing "Northern Lights" with Satin Jackets—streamed over 45 million times.

Alongside my creative practice, I’ve built a parallel path in rights management, developing knowledge through my consultancy and joining the Bertelsmann/RTL-backed agency We Are Era in Berlin. There, I developed strategic frameworks for rights operations, metadata, risk management, and digital product governance—working with content across Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia.

Today, I operate through Amity: a creative and rights consultancy bridging the needs of modern creators with infrastructure that’s agile, equitable, and artist-first.

Working across cultures and media, Amity partners with artists, rights-holders, and brands to build purposeful work that travels.

Creatively, structurally, and globally.
